DAY 1
Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, you will be met by your driver-guide for a short safari briefing before beginning your journey north. Drive through the lush Kenyan highlands with views of rolling coffee and tea plantations before reaching the Laikipia region.
Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in time for lunch at the elegant Sweetwaters Serena Camp, set against the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kenya.
In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in this private conservancy, renowned for its thriving population of black and white rhinos, the endangered northern white rhinos, as well as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and giraffes. Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where these primates are cared for, and learn about ongoing conservation efforts.
Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation under the starlit African sky.

DAY 2
Day 2: Ol Pejeta – Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, drive further north into the dramatic landscapes of Samburu National Reserve. The journey takes you past the foothills of Mount Kenya and into the semi-arid wilderness of Samburu, a stark yet breathtakingly beautiful region defined by rugged hills, the meandering Ewaso Nyiro River, and scattered doum palms.
Arrive at the tranquil Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time for lunch. Nestled within the Shaba Game Reserve, the lodge is an oasis built around natural springs and offers a perfect blend of comfort and wilderness charm.
In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive in Samburu, a reserve famous for its “Samburu Special Five” – species found only in this region, including the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. Alongside these unique animals, the reserve is also home to elephants, lions, leopards, and a rich variety of birdlife.
Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild.

DAY 3
Day 3:Samburu – Lake Nakuru National Park
After an early breakfast at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, depart Samburu and journey south, passing through picturesque highlands and crossing the Equator en route to the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy sweeping views of escarpments, fertile farmlands, and small towns along the way before descending into the dramatic floor of the valley.
Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch at the charming Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, perched on a hillside with stunning views of the lake.
In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, a sanctuary for endangered species such as black and white rhinos and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, famous for its flocks of flamingos and over 400 recorded bird species. Keep an eye out for buffalo, lions, leopards, and waterbucks along the lake’s shores.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve – Full Day Game Drive

For an unforgettable perspective of the Mara, consider the optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise (extra cost). Drift silently above the plains, spotting wildlife from the sky, and conclude the adventure with a champagne breakfast in the bush, a truly magical experience.
Return to the camp in the afternoon for relaxation, lunch, and an evening game drive if time permits. Dinner is served at the lodge, and you spend the night enveloped by the tranquil sounds of the African wilderness.
