Day 1: Arrival – Diani Beach

Upon arrival at Moi International Airport, Mombasa, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred in a private vehicle to Leopard Beach Resort & Spa, located on the pristine shores of Diani Beach.

After check-in, take time to relax and unwind after your journey. Stroll along the soft white sands of the Indian Ocean, lounge by the poolside, or simply enjoy the tranquil atmosphere surrounded by the resort’s lush tropical gardens.

Day 3: Diani – Tsavo East National Park

After an early breakfast at the resort, check out and embark on a scenic drive inland towards Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s oldest and largest park, covering more than 13,000 square kilometers. The journey takes you through changing landscapes, from the coastal plains to the rugged wilderness of Tsavo.

Arrive in time for lunch at Ashnil Aruba Lodge, beautifully located on the banks of the Aruba Dam – a popular wildlife haven that attracts a wide variety of animals throughout the year.

In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive inside Tsavo East. Keep your eyes peeled for the park’s famous red elephants, coated in the park’s rich volcanic soil, as well as prides of lions, graceful giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and a diversity of birdlife. The vast savannahs and dramatic landscapes make for breathtaking photographic opportunities.

Return to the lodge in the evening to relax and enjoy dinner under the African night sky.

Day 4: Tsavo East – Taita Hills 

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park, taking advantage of the cool morning hours when wildlife is most active. Witness predators returning from their nocturnal hunts and herbivores grazing as the sun rises over the vast savannah.

Return to the lodge for breakfast, then check out and drive to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a privately managed reserve bordering Tsavo West.

Arrive in time for lunch at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, one of Kenya’s most unique safari lodges, dramatically perched on stilts above a waterhole and salt lick that attract a constant procession of elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and even big cats. From your room or the lodge’s viewing decks, you can observe wildlife at close range, day and night.

In the afternoon, set off on a game drive within the sanctuary, where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and a variety of plains game against the backdrop of the scenic Taita Hills.

Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an unforgettable evening of wildlife viewing right from the lodge.

Day 5: Taita Hills – Diani Beach

After breakfast at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, check out and enjoy an en-route game drive through the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.

Continue your journey with a scenic drive back to the coast, passing through rolling hills and rural landscapes before reaching the palm-fringed beaches of Diani.

Arrive at Leopard Beach Resort & Spa in time for lunch. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure – unwind on the soft white sands of the Indian Ocean, take a dip in the pool, or enjoy the resort’s luxury amenities after your safari adventure.
