Diani Beach
Famous for its wonderful Palm Trees and white sandy beaches, Diani Beach is a major beach resort on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. It is located 30 kilometres south of Mombasa, in the nearby Kwale County. The area’s wonderfully warm waters and exquisite coral reefs provide an ideal environment for an array of exhilarating water-based activities including snorkeling, scuba diving and boat safaris where you can witness the richly diverse marine life for which the southern coast of Kenya is known. You’re likely to see turtles, mantas, barracuda and, if you are lucky, even the elusive and exceptionally large whale shark. Don’t miss: the Colobus Conservation which provides a sanctuary for these fascinating endangered primates; the Shimba Hills National Reserve which offers an exceptional and unforgettable safari experience; and the nearby Kisite Marine National Park close to the Tanzanian border.
Masai Mara
The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential and you can even do a horseback safari.
Watamu
Located north of Mombasa, the small coastal village of Watamu is renowned for the Watamu Marine National Park. The park boasts three sparkling bays, white-sand beaches and an underwater coral wonderland offering one of the best snorkelling and diving experiences on the East African coast. This charming village is surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty; fringed by lush tropical rainforests and mangroves. Visitors flock here to spend lazy days on the beautiful Watamu and Turtle Bay beaches, explore the Gede Ruins, and fish in the mangrove-edged waterways of Mida Creek. Don’t the miss the opportunity to visit the nearby Arabuko Sokoke Forest Reserve to spot monkeys, elephants and a variety of rare bird species.

This first short ride to your accommodation will be your introduction to the striking grasslands and picturesque acacia trees of the Masai Mara Reserve. Settle in at your safari tented camp in time for lunch. Then it’s time to hop into your open-top 4 x 4 Jeep for a more extended game drive into the reserve. You probably won’t have to go far before spotting some of the park’s prodigious wildlife. All of Africa’s ‘Big Five’ are found here – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. Return back to the camp as the sun sets.

Day 5
Day Itinerary
An early rise to enjoy the morning light creeping across the plains and the sight of the wildlife emerging into the new day. This will be a full day of game drives and to do as you please. Should you be fortunate enough to visit the reserve during the season of the Great Migration (July – October) you will witness one of the natural wonders of the planet – an unending train of wildebeests and zebras crossing into the park over the Mara River on their annual trek. And waiting for them are the park’s many predators – lions, leopards, cheetahs, and crocodiles hidden beneath the river’s surface. You can observe the drama and the spectacle, taking a break with a picnic lunch down at the Mara River.
